This Privacy Policy explains how Pearl ("App", "we", "I", or "me") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Pearl mobile application. I am committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.
Account Information: When you sign in using Apple Sign-In, I may receive your name and email address (if you choose to share it). Apple may provide a private relay email address if you choose to hide your email.
Usage Data: I collect information about how you use the App, including:
Health Data: With your explicit permission, the App may access health data from Apple HealthKit, such as step counts. This data is used solely to track your progress in health-related challenges. Health data is processed locally on your device and synced to our servers only as aggregated progress data, not raw health metrics.
Device Information: I may collect device identifiers and push notification tokens to deliver notifications.

Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database service. I implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

I retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, I will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If I become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, I will delete it promptly.
If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. I do not sell personal information.
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the App or sending you a notification. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
